English Language Instruction
Language Instruction Program
The English Language Instruction program is designed to meet the students' language goals in the most efficient manner within the shortest period of time. The methodological approach used for the language instruction is proficiency-based and functionally oriented, competence-based training oriented to developing functional proficiency in the target language. This type of training teaches students to apply the language in real situations, and prepares them to work effectively in the language.
This program is composed of three sections: The Intensive program, the regular group program and the private sessions
THE INTENSIVE PROGRAM
Student in the intensive language program attend class 4- 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, Intensive language instruction classes are arranged in 4-week cycles. The intensive program is intended for beginners who want to get a quick start and a solid base in their language learning.
The materials and teaching/learning methods are communicative and tailored to meet the learner's objectives. For students who have a limited amount of time to study, we can take that into consideration as well.
Our teachers monitor and measure students progress to ensure they receive the most from their learning time. Each student is evaluated on his or her performance at the end of each course to determine whether the student has reached the set goals of the course in order to move on to the next level. There are six levels in the intensive program:
Basic I
The Basic 1 level is for students with little or no English language skills who want to learn basic survival skills. The objective for this level is that upon completion of this level the student will be able to communicate using basic everyday vocabulary. The focus will be on conversation (listening/comprehension/speaking) and building a basic vocabulary. Topics covered will be everyday situations (greetings, family, shopping, directions, etc.). Writing and reading activities will be also introduced at this level.
Basic II
In this course, students will be introduced to the basic grammar of the language, while still stressing oral communication and vocabulary building. Reading and writing exercises will be introduced to build vocabulary and reinforce grammar. Students in this level are able to communicate in simple language.
Intermediate I

Students will write compositions, will be exposed to authentic materials such as newspaper articles for reading comprehension exercises, and will use audio materials for listening comprehension skills. Students will continue to study more in-depth grammar.
